They also said that all Nigerians living in the United States under the auspices of Nigerians In Diaspora Organisation (NIDO) would continue to speak up against Boko Haram during a nationwide rally that would be held in the United States today (Saturday).
Speaking with our correspondent, a chieftain of the association, Elder Victor Ugoh, said it became imperative for NIDO to stage the nationwide rally in almost all the states in the United States of America when it was realised that the terrorists were not ready to urgently release the abducted schoolgirls.
He added that the issue of terrorism and kidnapping in Nigeria had become a concern for the international community and that Nigerians living in the Diaspora would be ready to join the federal government and all of Nigeria’s security agencies in their efforts to stop the insurgents.
While noting that Nigeria is unfortunate to be experiencing insurgency at this crucial period, Ugoh said it was his hope that all the rallies and outburst of concerned citizens of the country and the international community would put the terrorists under serious pressure that would make them return the abducted female students as soon as possible.
He said NIDO would be staging its rallies in New York, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC and some other states in the United States.
