NFVCB Finally Approves Showing Of ‘Half Of A Yellow Sun’

The screen adaptation of Chimamanda Adichie’s Half of a Yellow Sun has finally been censored for viewing by the Nigerian Film & Video Censors Board.
The movie, which had been previously banned over fear of inciting the issues that lead to the Biafran War, will be allowed to show only to those 18 of age and above.
Months after the movie, which stars Chiwetel Ejiofor and Thandie Newton, was released, it was finally approved as “fulfilling the regulatory conditions stipulated by the NFVCB”
