PetroBowl Logo design Competition

The SPE Young Members team are pleased to extend to all student members the opportunity to flex their creative muscles and share their artistic flair by designing a new PetroBowl logo! 
Held each year at SPE's Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE), PetroBowl is a popular and much anticipated tournament-style contest for student chapters that tests their knowledge of SPE and the E&P industry. Due to the overwhelming interest, SPE has been working hard to make this a truly global event.  Our aim is to bring together the best teams from all over the world to compete in the PetroBowl Championship at ATCE.  This year we held two pilot Regional Qualifiers - Asia Pacific and Africa.  We invited chapters from these regions to participate in the regional qualifier pilot competitions, and they were both a huge success with the top two teams from each earning placements at the Championship contest at ATCE in Amsterdam this October.

Now we need a new logo for the global PetroBowl program.  We're looking for a design that embodies these key words:
Global           -          Simple         -          Sleek            -           Oil & Gas

The winner, whose design is selected as top by the PetroBowl Committee, will win an iPad!


Instructions and rules

• Upload your design to this discussion thread as an attachment. Please do not begin another discussion thread, any such entries may not be considered.
• Closing date is 11:59pm (GMT) Sunday 6 July.  Entries received after this date and time will not be considered.
• Entry designs can be in JPEG or PDF format - hand drawn and uploaded designs are acceptable
• Must be your own work and not plagiarised from anyone else.  Any such entries will be disqualified.
• Only one entry per student
• Give your design the file name containing the last 4 digits of your SPE number and your surname. For example; if my SPE number is 12345678 and my surname is Baines-Knox, it would be 5678BainesKnox. (This is so we can easily identify which work is whose during selections).
• SPE reserves the right to not use the winning design to its exact specifications, it may be used instead to inspire the new logo design
• The winner will be selected by the PetroBowl Committee and announced on SPE Connect within 4 weeks of the competition closing date
