Let’s start with the colour. Samsung Galaxy Tab S models will be in two colours: 'Dazzling White' and 'Titanium Bronze'. White is, well, just white but the bronze colour looks much better than the gold used for the Galaxy S5.

We will start with the 'little brother' having an 8.4-inch screen. It is interesting how thin and light this new tablet is. It's just 6.6mm thick according to Samsung which is thinner than the iPad Mini 2 and Nexus 7. Its size is also surprisingly light; just 294g which makes for easy handling. It still resembles the prior Samsung tablets but borrowing a little from the Galaxy S5.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has the same screen resolution as the 10.5-inch model. A whopping 2560 x 1600 pixels on an 8.4-inch screen means an impressively high pixel density of 350ppi making it one of the most brilliant screens on a tablet. As you might expect, the display is amazingly clear. They both have a 16:10 aspect ratio which is good for watching video content.

It is great that they put stereo speakers, although they are side mounted rather than forward facing. You can choose between 16GB or 32GB of internal storage plus the microSD slot can take up to 128GB cards. With 3GB of RAM, four 1.9GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores running an Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) with Samsung's latest TouchWiz interface pre-installed, both Samsung Galaxy Tab S tablets run like a dream.

If you want mobile internet, a 4G LTE model is available, powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core processor from Qualcomm (Snapdragon 800). It also comes with plenty of other tech such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. For all you tablet photographers out there, Samsung Galaxy Tab S has an 8 megapixels rear facing camera with an LED flash and a 2.1 megapixels front facing camera.

All in all the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S is a great gadget, both sizes are great and the only difference between them is the screen size. It is a good buy for every high-end tablet user.
